Private Equity Attorney — Corporate (New York)

Seeking a 3rd–6th year private equity attorney to join a busy corporate team in New York. The role focuses on sponsor-side private equity work and related M&A transactions, supporting both fund and portfolio-company matters in a collaborative, fast-paced practice.

Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and ancillary transaction documents, and acting as an extension of clients' business teams. The team values strong commercial judgment, excellent drafting and writing, and the ability to manage complex projects and client relationships.

• 3–6 yearsʼ post-qualification private equity and M&A experience
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating purchase/merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and ancillary transaction documents
• Excellent drafting, writing, analytical and project-management skills
• Strong attention to detail, commercial judgment, and ability to work in team-oriented, client-facing settings
• Prior large-firm private equity experience and strong academic record
