Private Equity Attorney (3rd–6th Year) — San Diego

An established corporate practice has an opening for a 3rd–6th year attorney with a focus on private equity and M&A. The role centers on representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies across the full range of transactional work.

The attorney will take a lead role as an extension of client business teams, drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and ancillary transaction documents, while managing the day-to-day needs of fund and portfolio company clients in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Candidates should bring strong business and strategic judgment, sound project management, and the ability to handle substantial responsibility with autonomy.

• 3–6 years of private equity and M&A experience
• Prior large-firm experience advising private equity sponsors
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and ancillary transaction documents
• Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and project management abilities
• Excellent academic credentials
