A leading global law firm is seeking a highly skilled, self-driven mid-level associate to join its private equity team in New York. The role centers on representing private equity sponsors and strategic investors across acquisitions, dispositions, financings and related corporate matters.

The associate will take on meaningful responsibility early, leading discrete parts of transactions independently, managing deal processes end to end, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive seamless execution. The practice also covers corporate governance, securities compliance and fund structuring work.

Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and bring a strong grounding in transactional drafting, negotiation and detailed analysis, along with a willingness to supervise and develop junior colleagues.

3–5 years of legal experience on private equity transactions, preferably at a large law firm
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Admission in good standing to practice law in New York
Experience representing private equity and strategic investors
Strong understanding of corporate governance and securities compliance in private equity deals
Familiarity with legal AI tools and platforms for handling corporate transactions
Proven drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
Ability to self-manage priorities and work effectively under deadlines
