A global Am Law 100 law firm seeks a highly qualified Counsel to join its premier Restructuring practice. This position is open across multiple offices, with flexibility to be based in a major U.S. market.

The role involves representing secured lenders and other creditors in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters. The team handles Chapter 11 proceedings — including DIP financing, cash collateral use, plans of reorganization and asset dispositions — alongside out-of-court workouts, restructurings, foreclosures, liability management transactions and assignments for the benefit of creditors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated practitioner with strong communication skills who is looking to take on sophisticated work within a leading global platform.

At least 10 years of law firm experience representing secured lenders and/or other creditors
Experience with Chapter 11 proceedings, including DIP financing, cash collateral use, plans of reorganization and asset dispositions
Experience with out-of-court workouts, restructurings, foreclosures, asset dispositions, liability management transactions and assignments for the benefit of creditors
Excellent academic credentials
Strong writing and analytical skills
Strong communication and client-facing skills
