We are recruiting a Professional Support Lawyer to join our market-leading Employment, Pensions and Immigration team, closely aligned with our flagship fixed-fee employment and HR advisory service for employers.

Working alongside a growing team, you will play a key role in developing knowledge resources, tools and training that enable lawyers to deliver high-quality, efficient advice to some of the UK's largest employers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Keep the client-facing service website current with the latest employment law developments.
  • Update and maintain the employment document library with minimal supervision.
  • Develop client-facing tools and training programmes to enhance service quality.
  • Monitor employment law trends and proactively flag potential legal issues to the team.
  • Create and maintain best-practice guides, precedents, checklists and knowledge resources.
  • Identify ways to improve lawyer efficiency and collaborate with product and business change teams on technology and process innovations.
  • Deliver training and some limited legal work to achieve a modest financial target.

About you:

  • Experienced employment lawyer requiring minimal supervision.
  • Strong drafting, research and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Skilled at writing, presenting and training on legal developments, including case law and legislation.
  • Pragmatic, commercial approach to problem-solving and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and sell bolt-on services (such as training) to existing clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and IT skills; collaborative team player.

  • Proven experience as an employment lawyer with a strong background in employment law.
  • Excellent drafting, research and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to write about, present and train others on legal developments, including case law, legislation and procedural changes.
  • A high level of interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively to deliver results.
  • A pragmatic and commercial approach to legal problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to manage competing demands, resources and priorities.
  • Good time management, organisation and IT skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – proactively spotting opportunities to sell bolt-on services (e.g. training) to existing clients.
