Top-tier U.S. law firm seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate to join its Chicago Real Estate Finance group. The role focuses on sophisticated commercial real estate debt transactions across mortgage and mezzanine financings, construction and bridge loans, loan syndications and participations, intercreditor arrangements, and related workouts and restructurings.

The team advises lenders, sponsors and investors on origination, acquisition and disposition financing structures, preferred equity investments and enforcement or restructuring matters. The position offers exposure to complex, market-leading transactions and collaboration with senior deal teams.

Applicants should be commercially minded, comfortable managing transaction processes and drafting key finance documentation, and able to work efficiently with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

3–7 years of PQE in real estate finance at a top-tier law firm
Substantive experience with mortgage and mezzanine financings, construction and bridge loans, loan participations/syndications and intercreditor arrangements
Experience on workouts, restructurings and enforcement matters a plus
Strong drafting, transaction-management skills and client-facing experience
