The role focuses on advising fund sponsors on fundraising and transactional matters, and on handling SEC examination and enforcement-related work.
Typical responsibilities include reviewing offering materials and fund governing documents, advising on compliance with federal securities and investment-adviser rules, preparing SEC filings, and responding to examinations. The team offers exposure to complex regulatory issues across fund formation and operations.
This position reports into a well-established regulatory practice and comes with a competitive salary and benefits package.
- 1–3 years of post-qualification experience in investment-funds regulatory work at a national or global law firm
- Strong familiarity with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940; familiarity with the Investment Company Act and Securities Act is a plus
- Experience reviewing offering materials, governing documents, preparing SEC filings, and responding to examinations
- Admission to practice in the District of Columbia required
