Senior Associate / Counsel, Aviation Finance — New York

Leading US-based finance team seeks a Senior Associate or Counsel to join its New York aviation finance practice. The role focuses on aircraft financing, leasing, trading, restructuring and enforcement matters across secured and unsecured financings and leasing platforms.

The successful candidate will work on high-value transactions, advising banks, lessors, airlines and investors on documentation and deal execution, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex financings, including capital markets and export-credit-supported transactions.

Competitive New York pay range: $390,000 - $435,000 (final offer dependent on experience and skills).

• Admitted to and in good standing with the New York bar.
• Substantial aviation finance experience with secured, unsecured and guaranteed financings; familiarity with Article 9 and the Cape Town Convention.
• Track record managing and closing large financings (experience with $100M+ transactions).
• Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements, indentures, leases, purchase agreements and related documentation.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and organizational skills; ability to advise clients orally and in writing.
• Large law firm experience handling multiple internal and external stakeholders and concurrent matters. Experience with export credit agency–supported financings or capital markets transactions is a plus.
