Senior Associate, Intellectual Property (Chemistry)

We are seeking a senior associate to join a national intellectual property team working across patent prosecution and related litigation matters. The role will involve preparing and prosecuting U.S. patent applications, assisting with opinions and freedom-to-operate analyses, supporting patent litigation teams, and counseling inventors and clients on IP strategy.

The position is open across multiple U.S. offices (Boston, Denver, New York, Palo Alto, Washington, D.C.). Candidates will work with interdisciplinary teams on chemistry-focused technologies and will have opportunities for cross-office collaboration on complex matters.

• Scientific background in chemistry (degree in chemistry or closely related discipline)
• Experience in patent prosecution and familiarity with patent litigation support
• Strong drafting and analytical skills; experience preparing patent applications and office-action responses
• Admission to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction (or eligibility), and excellent communication skills
