Senior Associate/Of Counsel - Public Finance (Albuquerque)

A team-oriented Senior Associate or Of Counsel is sought to join a public finance group in Albuquerque. The role involves advising governmental entities, issuers, borrowers, underwriters, lenders, developers, and other transaction participants.

Responsibilities may include serving as bond, issuer’s, tax, borrower’s, disclosure, or underwriter’s counsel; drafting and reviewing transaction documents; managing transactions through closing; and advising clients on public finance, tax, securities, and state-law matters. Experience with development and infrastructure financings, tax increment financing, special districts, housing, education, health care, transportation, or other public and sector financings is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have strong academic and professional credentials, excellent research, drafting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and the ability to manage matters independently in a collaborative, client-focused environment. Admission to the New Mexico Bar, or eligibility for admission, is required.

• 7–10 years of experience in public finance, municipal finance, economic development, or related transactional practice areas
• Experience representing governmental entities, issuers, borrowers, underwriters, lenders, developers, or other transaction participants
• Strong academic and professional credentials
• Excellent research, drafting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage matters independently in a collaborative, client-focused environment
• Admission to the New Mexico Bar, or eligibility for admission
