An established defendant credit hire and repair practice is seeking an experienced fee earner to manage a varied caseload of litigated vehicle hire and damage matters. The team acts for a substantial roster of insurers and self-insured corporates, providing an end-to-end dispute resolution service from small track through to multi-track claims, including allegations of fraud.

The work covers liability, indemnity and associated losses — personal injury, credit repair and diminution — alongside pre-emptive advice and support for clients developing their own claims strategies. You will run your own cases with appropriate supervision, backed by a supervisor and team manager.

The role can be based from either of two office locations, with remote working considered for candidates able to commute as needed. There is an expectation of attending an office at least once a month for training and client events.

Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or experienced Paralegal with 2+ years' experience handling litigated motor claims and managing an own caseload.
Credit hire experience is essential.
Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with sound oral and written communication.
Analytical ability to assess factual evidence, identify key legal arguments and apply them.
Commercial awareness, including running cases within agreed fee structures.
Resilience for telephone negotiation and feedback, plus a genuine appetite to learn.
Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
