An Am Law 20 firm
Apply in confidence →An elite New York law firm invites applications for a seasonal visiting lawyer program running from September 2027 through May 2028. The program is intentionally small, offering a select number of lawyers from outside the United States the opportunity to work alongside the firm's attorneys in New York for the full academic year.
Because hiring is intimate and the firm deliberately draws participants from a broad range of countries over time, only a handful of candidates are invited to interview each cycle — either virtually or in person. The firm recognizes it must decline many exceptional applicants.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and should include a résumé, a transcript from the home-country law school, any U.S. law school transcript if applicable, and a statement describing the candidate's plans after the program — for example returning to a home-country firm, further academic study, or continuing to practice in the United States.
- Candidates should submit a résumé and a transcript from their home-country law school (plus any U.S. law school transcript, if applicable).
- A statement of intentions following completion of the program is required.
- Applications are considered on a rolling basis; early submission is encouraged.
- Candidates coming from outside the United States should note that travel costs to New York are generally not reimbursed by the firm, while travel costs for candidates from U.S. law schools are reimbursed.
