In-House Counsel Salary in Australia 2026
PayScale's Legal Counsel Australia average base is AUD 123,355 as of 17 December 2025. Jobs and Skills Australia puts the national solicitor median at AUD 2,070 a week. This page prices that spread — in AUD and USD — for the lawyer who earns the counsel seat and the general counsel who pays it, not the Sydney GC table.
The counsel cell sits above the solicitor median, not on the GC table.
The 2026 in house counsel salary Australia cell is an in-house cash figure, not a Sydney general counsel package. Jobs and Skills Australia puts the national full-time solicitor median at AUD 2,070 a week. Sartori maps roughly 6,500 lawyers in Sydney. The people who earn the counsel figure sit on corporate and government practicing certificates, and the people who pay it sit in the companies and agencies that employ them.
Jobs and Skills Australia's ANZSCO 2713 profile puts full-time solicitor median weekly earnings at AUD 2,070, about USD 1,485 at the Reserve Bank of Australia's 11 September 2026 rate of 0.7172. That cell mixes private practice, corporate and government. Occupation median. Not an in-house cut.

What in house counsel salary Australia figures actually buy
A cash cell is not a paycheck until you name the instrument. The dated table below is the Australia-wide counsel read: Legal Counsel against the national solicitor median, in AUD and in USD, with the GC average present only as a ceiling the sibling page owns.
Jobs and Skills Australia, drawing on ABS Employee Earnings and Hours, reported in 2026 a full-time solicitor median of AUD 2,070 a week. Multiplied by 52, that is AUD 107,640 a year, or about USD 77,199 at the Reserve Bank of Australia's 11 September 2026 rate of 0.7172 US dollars per Australian dollar. The occupation employed 106,100 solicitors on the JSA profile. It is the contrast cell for this page because it is national, dated, and not an in-house series.
PayScale's Legal Counsel Australia page, last updated 17 December 2025, puts average base at AUD 123,355 and median base at AUD 123,000 on 80 salary profiles, with a 10th-to-90th base band of AUD 82,000 to AUD 178,000. Converted at the same RBA rate, average base is about USD 88,470. Early-career (1–4 years) average total compensation on that page is AUD 97,811 across 66 salaries — below the all-sample average, which is what you would expect on a desk where the National Profile says nearly half the corporate cohort is 15 years or more post-admission.
The College of Law 2025 Australian Legal Salary Survey, covering more than 1,100 legal professionals across firms, corporate teams, government and not-for-profits, put average base at AUD 109,353 against AUD 102,100 in 2024, a 7 percent rise. Average bonus was AUD 15,247 against AUD 11,136 in 2024, a 37 percent rise, with about one in three respondents bonus-eligible. Thirty-eight percent were unsatisfied with remuneration. The same survey put the average gender pay gap at 16 percent favoring males, and postgraduate holders north of AUD 131,000. That survey is profession-wide, not an in-house census; it triangulates the JSA solicitor median rather than replacing the Legal Counsel sample.
PayScale also publishes a total-pay band on the Legal Counsel Australia page: AUD 83,000 to AUD 182,000, with bonus of AUD 2,000–26,000 and profit sharing of AUD 0–26,000. Those variable layers are why a general counsel who compares offers on base alone mis-prices the seat. They are also why this page leads with base: it is the cell both readers can date. The lawyer who earns the figure reads base-plus-super. The chief legal officer who pays it should too.
Jobs and Skills Australia's 2026 solicitor profile is 89 percent full-time, at 46 average full-time hours, with 57 percent female and a median age of 37. Annual employment growth on that profile is 5,400. State shares of the occupation (not the in-house cut) run NSW 39.8 percent, Victoria 28.2 percent, Queensland 15.1 percent, Western Australia 8.0 percent, South Australia 3.9 percent, ACT 3.2 percent, Tasmania 1.2 percent, Northern Territory 0.6 percent. Read those shares as where solicitors sit, not as where corporate counsel sit: the National Profile, not JSA, is the in-house geography.

The 2026 figure sits on a corporate desk, and a company writes the check.
The people who earn the 2026 figure hold a corporate or government practicing certificate. The people who pay it are the companies, funds and public bodies that employ those desks, not a private-practice partnership table.
The Law Society of NSW / Urbis 2024 National Profile of Solicitors, census as at October 2024 and published 13 June 2025, counts 97,500 practicing solicitors. Private practice holds 62,684 (64 percent). Corporate legal holds 16,451 (17 percent). Government legal holds 13,321 (14 percent). Community legal holds 2,648; the residual 2,396 sit in “other.” Corporate legal grew 54 percent from 2014 to 2024 and 125 percent from 7,325 in 2011; government legal grew 105 percent from 2014 and 143 percent from 5,476 in 2011; private practice grew 32 percent from 2014 and 45 percent from 43,150 in 2011. The national solicitor count itself rose 8 percent from 90,329 in 2022, 47 percent from 66,211 in 2014, and 69 percent from 57,577 in 2011. The 2026 counsel paycheck is being earned on the two desks that outgrew the partnership table.
NSW has the highest corporate share, at 21 percent of 41,304 NSW solicitors (42 percent of the national profession, up 8 percent from 2022). Victoria is 17 percent of 24,301 (25 percent nationally, up 6 percent); Western Australia 15 percent of 7,698 (8 percent nationally, up 14 percent — the fastest jurisdiction in that two-year window); Queensland 13 percent of 15,158 (16 percent nationally, up 8 percent), a census the Queensland Law Society restated in Proctor on 11 July 2025. South Australia is 11 percent corporate; Tasmania 11 percent. The ACT is the inversion: 4 percent corporate against 48 percent government, on 3,198 solicitors. The Northern Territory is 2 percent corporate against 29 percent government and 17 percent community, on 662 solicitors. This Australia-wide page is therefore NSW-weighted on the corporate desk and ACT-weighted on the government desk. The city cut belongs to the Sydney in-house counsel salary sibling.
The 2026 cash cell is earned by a lawyer on a corporate or government certificate, usually mid-to-late career, under a Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel title.
- Certificate category, not job title. The Law Society Journal, 27 August 2026, restates the Uniform Law split: solicitors employed as in-house counsel by a company hold a corporate legal practitioner certificate; solicitors employed by a government agency hold a government legal practitioner certificate. A law-firm employee certificate is a different seat.
- Age mix of the corporate desk. Figure 19 of the National Profile puts 35 percent of corporate legal solicitors at 30–39, 34 percent at 40–49, 19 percent at 50–59 and 5 percent at 60–69. The counsel paycheck is a 30-to-50s paycheck.
- Titles that actually hire at counsel. Legal Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel, Corporate Counsel, Principal Lawyer (regulator or agency), and dual company secretary / counsel. PayScale tags the Legal Counsel Australia page with legal compliance, legal document review, contract negotiation, contract management, legal research, commercial, regulatory compliance, litigation case management, corporate and risk management — in-house practice labels, not “M&A associate.”
The payer is a general counsel, chief legal officer or head of legal inside a company, fund or public body — and the 2026 statute stack names which sectors are writing the check.
- Listed corporates and funds. From 1 January 2026, acquirer groups that meet the ACCC notification thresholds wait for approval before closing. That is a workload for in-house competition and M&A counsel, not a reason to open the GC table.
- Banks, telcos and digital platforms. The Scams Prevention Framework names those three sectors. AFCA membership is required from 1 September 2026; substantive codes from 31 March 2027. ASIC is sector regulator for banks; ACMA for telcos; the ACCC is general regulator and digital-platforms sector regulator.
- Commonwealth desks that already employ lawyers. The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, publishing under Legal Services Directions 2017 para 11.1(ba), reported 2024–25 internal legal spend of AUD 1,679,706 against external spend of AUD 3,094,602 (total AUD 4,774,308), with 43 counsel briefs worth AUD 481,812, Whole of Australian Government Legal Services Panel professional fees of AUD 1,312,632 on panel SON4072331 from 1 July 2024, and Australian Government Solicitor fees of AUD 510,042. That is a government legal desk that both employs in-house lawyers and buys panel firms.
- Resources, super, insurers, universities. The same statute stack lands on energy and resources teams (projects, environment, native title, work health and safety), on APRA-regulated superannuation and insurers (prudential, trusts, privacy), and on universities and independent schools (governance, employment, safeguarding) that often run a sole-counsel desk. Those buyers pay the counsel cell. They do not pay the GC cell unless the brief is actually a GC brief.
The seat is a license category before it is a salary band.
An in-house counsel seat in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia is a corporate legal practitioner certificate under the Legal Profession Uniform Law. The certificate authorizes work for the employer and related bodies corporate. It is not a law practice.
In-house onlyA law practice
- Corporate legal practitioner In-house for the employer or a related body corporate. No trust money. Professional indemnity insurance exempted. This page's seat.
- Government legal practitioner In-house for an agency or authority. Same Uniform Law duties, different certificate. The public-body cousin of the counsel seat.
- Employee or principal of a law practice Private-practice certificates. Independent contractors must hold a principal certificate and carry their own insurance. Not this page.
The Victorian Legal Services Board + Commissioner fact sheet “Corporate Lawyers and the Uniform Law,” last updated 14 June 2024, states the scope: Australian legal practitioners who engage in legal practice only as in-house lawyers for their employer or a related entity under Corporations Act s 50. They are bound by the Uniform Law, the Legal Practice Rules, the Solicitors’ Conduct Rules and the CPD Rules. They are not authorized to receive trust money and do not pay fidelity-fund contributions. Professional indemnity insurance is exempted unless needed for community-legal or pro bono work. The Legal Services Council, last updated 6 July 2026, confirms the certificate requirement for corporate and government lawyers in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.
A change of employment must be notified to the Law Society Registry within 7 days. A person may hold only one Australian practicing certificate at a time (Uniform Law (NSW) s 44(4)). Until renewal, a corporate certificate holder may practice as a government legal practitioner, which is how corporate-to-government moves are supposed to clear. Independent contractors are not the in-house counsel seat: they register a law practice and carry their own insurance.
VLSB+C practicing-certificate fees, last updated 3 September 2026, put the corporate legal practitioner full-year fee at AUD 275 for 2025–26 and AUD 283 for 2026–27. Government legal practitioner: AUD 252 / AUD 260. Employee of a law practice: AUD 458 / AUD 471. Principal authorized to receive trust money: AUD 702 / AUD 723. Volunteer and pro bono: nil. Fees do not attract GST. This is a license cost the employer or the lawyer pays. It is not salary, and it is not a reason to move a counsel package by tens of thousands.
The VLSB+C corporate-lawyer fact sheet is the clean test of whether the seat is in-house: legal practice only for the employer or a related entity, no trust money, professional indemnity exempted. A team that sells legal services outside that circle is a law practice, with a principal certificate, fidelity-fund contributions and its own insurance. A general counsel who treats the in-house team as a captive firm is describing a different vehicle than the counsel seat this page prices.
Dual general counsel and company secretary is a structural feature of mid-size Australian corporates, not a GC-only page. The Law Society Journal report of the 11 September 2026 NSW In-house Lawyers Conference put almost 160 NSW in-house counsel in the room and that dual hat on the program twice in a single day, alongside principal-lawyer seats at a Commonwealth tax administrator and a competition regulator, and legal-counsel seats at a listed industrial-technology OEM and a wholesale market operator. Titles, not names: the conference is texture for what the certificate actually does, not a demand series.
We do not price Legal Counsel against my own seat.
Demand is being written by dated Acts, not by a bonus cycle.
Privacy, cyber, climate disclosure and a mandatory merger regime are already operating facts for the corporate legal desk that employs 16,451 solicitors. Scams-framework membership lands on 1 September 2026. Hire counsel for the first two now; senior compliance counsel for the codes in 2027.

The Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024 (No. 128, 2024) received Royal Assent on 10 December 2024, administered by the Attorney-General’s Department. The OAIC media release of 29 November 2024, the day the bill passed, named the statutory tort, expanded enforcement including infringement notices, a Children’s Online Privacy Code mandate covering not only social media but any online service likely to be accessed by children, a whitelist for overseas data flows, and privacy-policy disclosure of substantially automated decisions. The statutory tort for serious invasions of privacy commenced on 10 June 2025: a court action for intrusion upon seclusion or misuse of information, with a public-interest balance, defenses of consent and lawful authority, and limitation periods of one year from awareness or three years from the invasion (or, if the person was under 18, before the 21st birthday). The OAIC does not administer the tort. In-house disputes and privacy counsel both move, and the Federal Court now sits behind tiered civil penalties, infringement notices, public inquiries and determinations. The delayed piece is automated-decision transparency: from 10 December 2026, entities must disclose in privacy policies the use of substantially automated decisions that significantly affect individuals’ rights or interests.
The Cyber Security Act 2024 (No. 98, 2024) received Royal Assent on 29 November 2024, administered by Home Affairs. Ransomware-payment reporting for reporting business entities commenced on 30 May 2025 (Part 3, ss 26–32). Corrs Chambers Westgarth, writing on 25 November 2024, the day of passage, put the report at 72 hours from payment, with limited-use and legal-professional-privilege protections, a civil penalty of 60 penalty units, and a government-indicated turnover threshold of AUD 3 million. The Act also sets smart-device security standards (Part 2), a voluntary sharing channel with the National Cyber Security Coordinator (Part 4), and a Cyber Incident Review Board (Part 5). The companion Security of Critical Infrastructure and Other Legislation Amendment (Enhanced Response and Prevention) Act 2024 treats data-storage systems holding business-critical data as critical infrastructure assets and expands the directions power to any incident affecting critical infrastructure, not just cyber. In-house cyber and regulatory counsel at SOCI entities — energy, telco, banking, data centers, health, food, transport — already own that playbook.
AASB S2 Climate-related Disclosures, issue date 20 September 2024, made under Corporations Act s 336A, is operative for Group 1 reporting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2025 and before 1 January 2027. Group 1 is two of three: consolidated revenue above AUD 500 million, assets above AUD 1 billion, employees above 500. Group 2 begins 1 July 2026; Group 3 begins 1 July 2027. ASIC’s chronology records the September 2024 Act, October 2024 AASB S1 (voluntary) and AASB S2 (mandatory), January 2025 AUASB ASSA 5000 and ASSA 5010, and March 2025 ASIC RG 280. Core content is governance, strategy, risk management, metrics and targets, including scenario analysis and Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse-gas figures. The in-house seat is climate governance, directors’ duties and continuous disclosure at Group 1 listed and large private entities, through the first reporting cycles, not a 2027 start.
Informal clearance closed on 31 December 2025. From 1 January 2026 the ACCC wait is mandatory on notified acquisitions; Parliament had enacted the laws on 10 December 2024. Non-notification renders the transaction void, with penalties up to AUD 50 million, three times the benefit, or 30 percent of adjusted turnover. Neighbouring New Zealand is not on that 1 January 2026 suspensory clock.
The Scams Prevention Framework Act 2025 (No. 15, 2025) received Royal Assent on 20 February 2025 and inserts the framework into the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, with consequential amendments to the ACMA Act, the ASIC Act and the Corporations Act. The ACCC page dated 11 August 2026 stages the obligations: most duties from 31 March 2027 for regulated banks, telecommunications providers and digital platforms (prevent, detect, disrupt, report, respond). AFCA is the external dispute scheme from 31 March 2027; AFCA’s own page confirms membership onboarding from 1 July 2026 and complaints from 31 March 2027. 2026 is the membership and governance year. 2027 is the code-and-penalty year. A general counsel who hires an NQ in 2026 to “do scams” has mis-read the clock.
AML/CTF Tranche 2 commenced 1 July 2026 for designated professional services. The Law Society Journal, 25 February 2026, restating AUSTRAC guidance, is plain: in-house legal services provided to internal persons or intra-group are generally not designated services. Law-firm principals carry the enrollment load. In-house counsel at already-regulated employers — authorized deposit-taking institutions, remittance, some fintech — absorb program uplift because the employer is the reporting entity. Tranche 2 did not create a wave of in-house counsel vacancies.

Fifteen closed files, and the one that died on a GC number.
Sartori has worked the Sydney in-house market for five years, for companies and agencies filling counsel seats rather than general-counsel chairs. Over the trailing three years we closed 15 in-house searches with a 93 percent completion rate and a typical timeline of 4 to 7 months.
Of those 15 closed Sydney in-house searches over 36 months, 11 were Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel seats inside companies; 4 were government or regulator principal-lawyer seats. Fourteen completed. One did not: the hiring general counsel at an ASX-listed corporate would not move off a GC-table number for a Legal Counsel requisition, the shortlist walked, and the file died at offer. That is the unflattering arithmetic behind a 93 percent completion rate on this line. A second corporate file reached an accepted offer and then reopened after the incumbent’s counter matched cash but not the statute-stack workload; it still completed, inside the 4-to-7-month window, only after the brief was rewritten as Senior Legal Counsel. We now open every counsel mandate on the solicitor-median-plus-premium cell, and we name the 2026 Acts in the brief before the salary line.
In that same Sydney interview cohort, 72 of 96 corporate Legal Counsel admitted 6 to 14 years, over a 24-month window, said they benchmark cash against a mid-career private-practice senior associate, not against the general counsel sitting two offices away. Forty-one of 58 hiring general counsel and heads of legal in the same cohort, over the same 24-month window, took the counsel package to the CEO as cash plus super, not to the board as total remuneration. Board-level GC pay is a different conversation, and a different page. A head of talent at an ASX-listed corporate, in that cohort, told us the counsel requisition stalls when HR is handed a GC band and told to “come in under it”: the lawyers who can do the 2026 statute stack do not sit in that discount.
Direct testimony from the same 24-month window is consistent across the two readers. The lawyer who earns the figure wants the cash cell dated, plus super named, plus the dual company-secretary load priced if it is real. The general counsel who pays it wants a fill inside 4 to 7 months, a 12-day signature, and a counter-offer plan at 26 percent incidence — not a second process after the first offer dies on a GC number.
The four government principal-lawyer files inside the 15 closed searches ran to the seven-month end of the 4-to-7-month window: a corporate-to-government certificate switch is a 7-day registry event the offer letter does not price. Quarterly surveys have run since 2019, and the global mapping sits at nearly 1.5 million lawyer profiles.
Requisition languageWhat the file actually is
- Legal Counsel Commercial, contracts, regulatory. Priced against the solicitor-median premium. This page.
- Senior Legal Counsel The same desk with a statute-stack overlay — privacy, climate, merger notification. Still not GC.
- General counsel A different seat, a different cash cell, a sibling page. Pricing counsel here is how files die.
Three anonymous composites from the closed-search set
An ASX-listed industrial with Australian operations briefed a Senior Legal Counsel seat covering commercial contracting and the first AASB S2 reporting cycle. The hiring general counsel opened on the Legal Counsel average plus a senior premium, not on the GC average. Time to fill: five months, inside the 4-to-7-month window. Offer-to-acceptance: 12 working days. No counter. One of the 11 corporate files.
An authorized deposit-taking institution briefed a Legal Counsel seat in consumer and payments for the Scams Prevention Framework membership year. The first shortlist produced a counter at cash parity; incidence on the line is 26 percent, and this file was one of them. The employer matched cash, held super at 12 percent, and refused to rebadge the seat as Deputy GC. The file completed in six months.
A Commonwealth agency briefed a principal-lawyer seat on a government certificate. Internal legal spend at a smaller regulator, the OAIC, was already AUD 1.68 million in 2024–25; this agency was larger, and the overflow still sat with the Whole of Australian Government panel and the Australian Government Solicitor. The certificate switch added a week the offer letter had not scheduled. Time to fill: seven months. One of the four government files, completed at the long end of the window.
A head of legal at a major authorized deposit-taking institution, in the same cohort, put the 2026 hire in one sentence: the company needed a privacy-and-merger lawyer, not a cheaper general counsel. A senior legal counsel at a telecommunications carrier, also in that cohort, said the Scams Prevention Framework membership date was already in the team calendar and the code date was not a 2026 hiring brief. Those are roles and organization types. They are not names.
The published number is cash. The employer funds cash plus super.
The published cash cell understates what the employer actually funds. Super guarantee is 12 percent from 1 July 2025. Dual company-secretary hats, practicing-certificate fees and the GC ceiling are the other three things a counsel offer has to name.
ABS Employee earnings for August 2025, released 12 December 2025, put median employee earnings in the main job at AUD 1,425 a week (+1.9 percent from August 2024), with hourly median AUD 42.90. Professionals sat at AUD 1,900 a week; Managers at AUD 2,072. Financial and insurance services AUD 2,000; professional, scientific and technical services AUD 1,897; public administration and safety AUD 1,837. By state, NSW median weekly AUD 1,464; Victoria AUD 1,380; Queensland AUD 1,439; Western Australia AUD 1,500; ACT AUD 1,600. Postgraduate-degree holders sat at AUD 2,000 a week. The JSA solicitor median of AUD 2,070 sits above the all-employee median and slightly above Professionals. ABS Average Weekly Earnings for May 2026, released 13 August 2026, put full-time adult ordinary-time earnings at AUD 2,083.70, up 3.7 percent annually — the lowest such rise since 2022 on that release. The payer of in-house counsel in 2026 is not in a 2022 bidding war. The statute stack changes the work; the super guarantee changes the load; neither is a reason to invent a new cash cell.
Occupation-wide lawyer pay, as opposed to in-house counsel, sits on lawyer salary in Australia 2026. Companies filling the seat work with our in-house and general counsel recruiting desk; the Sydney interview method is on the research program.
ABS Average Weekly Earnings for May 2026 also split the backdrop by industry, original series: professional, scientific and technical services AUD 2,389.60; financial and insurance services AUD 2,341.30; public administration and safety AUD 2,179.80; mining AUD 3,224.20. Public-sector full-time adult ordinary time was AUD 2,263.10 against private AUD 2,034.10. By jurisdiction, NSW persons AUD 2,108.80; Victoria AUD 2,041.10; Queensland AUD 2,039.70; Western Australia AUD 2,227.40; ACT AUD 2,290.20. A counsel package in a mining or financial-services group will not look like a counsel package in a mid-size industrial, even when both titles read Legal Counsel. The cell on this page is the national title sample. The payer still has to name the sector.
The census, the cash cells, and the 2026 Acts.
Headcount is a practicing-certificate census. Cash is a title sample against an occupation median. Demand is a stack of Acts with commencement dates. Sartori's Sydney in-house research program sits beside them as a named source.

Australian in-house counsel salary: common questions
What is the in house counsel salary Australia figure for 2026?
PayScale's Legal Counsel Australia average base is AUD 123,355 as of 17 December 2025, about USD 88,470. That sample (n=80) is the in-house counsel cash cell this page prices. Jobs and Skills Australia puts the national full-time solicitor median at AUD 2,070 a week, or AUD 107,640 a year, so the counsel seat sits above the occupation median and well below PayScale's General Counsel Australia average of AUD 203,300 (14 April 2026). Cash figures are before the 12 percent super guarantee.
How does Australian in-house counsel pay compare with the national solicitor median?
Legal Counsel average base of AUD 123,355 sits AUD 15,715 above the annualized solicitor median of AUD 107,640. The solicitor median mixes private practice, corporate and government; it is the contrast cell, not an in-house-only median. At the Reserve Bank of Australia's 11 September 2026 rate of USD 0.7172 per AUD, those two cells are about USD 88,470 and USD 77,199.
Who pays Australian in-house counsel in 2026?
The companies, funds and public bodies that employ 16,451 corporate and 13,321 government solicitors pay the 2026 counsel figure. The Law Society of NSW / Urbis 2024 National Profile of Solicitors (census October 2024, published 13 June 2025) counts those desks inside 97,500 practicing solicitors. Private practice (62,684 solicitors) is not the payer for this seat. A general counsel, chief legal officer or head of legal takes the counsel package to the CEO as cash plus super, not to the board as a GC number.
Does the 2026 Australian in-house counsel figure include superannuation?
No. PayScale, Jobs and Skills Australia and the College of Law 2025 survey all report cash. The super guarantee is 12 percent from 1 July 2025; on a Legal Counsel average base of AUD 123,355 that is about AUD 14,803 more for the employer if the package is plus super, taking cash-plus-SG to about AUD 138,158.
How long does it take to hire in-house counsel in Australia?
Sartori's Sydney in-house mandate telemetry records a typical 4-to-7-month fill and a median 12 working days from offer to acceptance. Of 15 closed Sydney in-house searches over three years, the four government principal-lawyer files ran to the seven-month end of that window. Counter-offer incidence on the line is 26 percent.
Is general counsel pay the same as in-house counsel pay in Australia?
No. PayScale's General Counsel Australia average base is AUD 203,300 as of 14 April 2026 — a different seat. This page prices Legal Counsel and Corporate Counsel. Australia-wide GC pay sits on a sibling page; the Sydney GC table sits on another. Pricing a counsel requisition against the GC average is the mistake that reopened files in our telemetry.
