Appellate Attorney — Litigation — New York

A full-service AmLaw 100 firm is seeking an attorney to join its Appellate Practice in its New York office. This is an opportunity to work within a nationally recognized appellate group that handles matters in federal and state courts across the country, including the Supreme Court of the United States.

The team regularly briefs and argues a wide variety of civil appeals and extraordinary relief proceedings, spanning areas such as class action and mass tort, commercial litigation, construction, elder law, employment, healthcare, insurance coverage and bad faith, products liability, intellectual property, and toxic torts and environmental litigation.

The successful candidate will evaluate trial records, draft effective briefs, frame factual and legal issues through the lens of the appellate standard of review, conduct legal research, and present oral argument.

• 1–15 years of appellate experience
• Working knowledge of state and federal civil and appellate procedure
• Excellent advocacy and writing skills
• Admission to the New York Bar
