An international law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as the firm's in-house lawyer and advisor to senior management on legal matters affecting the firm and its operations. The role sits within the Office of the General Counsel and provides day-to-day support across risk, ethics, and compliance matters.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and guidelines to ensure federal, state, and international regulatory compliance, and acting as the firm's primary point of contact for professional liability matters — assessing and investigating potential claims, reporting to the firm's professional liability insurer, and engaging and managing outside defense counsel where required.

The position also covers loss prevention partnership — advising personnel on professional responsibility, attorney ethics, and conflicts — as well as procurement of professional liability and cyber insurance, and support to finance colleagues on receivables management and collection processes.

Juris Doctor degree and admission to the relevant state bar
5+ years of experience in a law firm environment
Experience with professional responsibility, attorney ethics, loss prevention, or risk management preferred
Litigation background preferred
Ability to commute to a local office and work in-office 3–4 days per week
Strong judgment and credibility in advising senior management and personnel
