Associate Attorney, Insurance

Our growing global insurance practice is seeking an Associate to join its New York team. The group advises domestic and global insurers and their insureds across a wide range of insurance classes, with a primary focus on contingency and event cancellation coverage advice, and personal injury litigation and defense.

As part of a collaborative team of eight attorneys, you will handle a varied caseload, have direct client contact, and work closely with senior attorneys. The role offers real autonomy and a serious commitment to work/life balance.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Applications must include a writing sample.

• New York Bar admission
• 2–3 years’ experience in pre-litigation and litigation
• Strong deposition skills
• Ability to run a caseload independently
• Strong academic record
• Sound analysis of complex facts with a commercial approach
• Confidence dealing directly with clients
• Calm, quick decision-making
• Team player who shares knowledge and supports colleagues
