An established regional team is seeking an Associate to join its Disputes practice in Belfast, working on a hybrid basis. This is an opportunity to join one of the largest financial services litigation teams in the country, handling high-quality contentious work for leading financial and commercial services clients.

The role involves running a varied contentious caseload, providing strategic and commercial legal advice across a range of disputes and claims, and working closely alongside senior members of the team. You will also contribute to business development activities, nurturing existing client relationships and building new ones, while collaborating with colleagues across multiple office locations nationwide.

The team advises across the full spectrum of contentious issues associated with commercial, business and consumer finance, including dispute resolution, pre-litigation management and alternative dispute resolution, acting for a range of financial institutions from large banks to challenger banks and fintechs.

Qualified or newly qualified Solicitor with 1–4 years' PQE
Experience in litigation and/or property
Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for business development
Ability to understand client business needs
Ambitious team player able to support senior fee earners and contribute to a collaborative culture
