Associate — Corporate (Transactional) — Tokyo

Leading Tokyo office seeking qualified associates to join its corporate transactional team. The role involves work across corporate and commercial matters, including M&A, finance-related corporate transactions and general corporate advisory for domestic and cross-border clients.

Successful candidates will join a structured training environment with exposure to deal execution, document drafting and client-facing work. The team values collaborative lawyers who can manage demanding matters and develop technical skills in corporate practice.

• Passed the Japanese bar examination (or imminently qualified)
• Academic background in law; prior transactional internships or clerkships advantageous
• Strong written and oral Japanese; English skills useful for cross-border work
• Interest in corporate transactions, attention to detail and ability to work in a team
