Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Associate

Our client, a prominent law firm, is seeking an experienced associate to join its Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice in Chicago. This role focuses on executive compensation and employee benefits matters within M&A transactions, with a strong emphasis on private equity deals and public-company executive compensation.

• Provide counsel on executive compensation and employee benefits in the context of complex M&A transactions.
• Advise on public-company executive compensation arrangements and related regulatory compliance.
• Support private equity clients with compensation and benefit structuring in deal environments.
• Collaborate with cross-practice teams on transactional matters.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of relevant experience, be admitted to the Illinois bar or eligible for admission, and possess strong analytical and communication skills. A comprehensive compensation and benefits package is offered, with a target salary range of $310,000–$390,000.

• 3+ years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits, particularly in M&A and private equity contexts.
• Experience with public-company executive compensation matters.
• Admission to the Illinois bar or eligibility to seek admission.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
