Apply in confidence →Growing Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation team in Chicago is seeking a mid-level associate to support executive compensation and employee benefits matters, with a strong focus on M&A and private equity transactions and public-company executive compensation issues.
The role will involve drafting and negotiating equity and cash incentive arrangements, advising on benefit plan design and compliance, and providing transactional and ongoing counsel to sponsors and issuers. Candidates must be admitted to, or eligible to seek admission to, the Illinois bar.
Target salary range: $310,000 - $390,000. Compensation also includes bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits program.
- Approximately 3+ years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits work, including transactional experience (particularly private equity/M&A).
- Experience with public-company executive compensation matters preferred.
- Admission or eligibility to seek admission to the Illinois bar.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills and ability to handle client-facing transactional responsibilities.
