An established Energy & Infrastructure team in London is seeking an ambitious associate with 3–7 years' post-qualification experience to join its growing practice. The role involves working on high-profile mandates for a broad client base including utilities, developers, sponsors, funders and investors.

The work spans renewables, conventional power, biofuels, hydrogen, carbon capture, and electricity, gas, water and heat networks. A core focus is UK energy and utilities sector regulatory work, advising across the electricity, gas and water sectors on regulatory and market reform matters.

The role also encompasses the regulatory aspects of transactions and projects, including network asset and large-scale renewables and BESS acquisitions, alongside support mechanisms such as the Capacity Market, Contracts for Difference, and hydrogen and renewable transport fuel schemes. You will draft and negotiate key revenue agreements, including corporate and private wire PPAs, energy services agreements, tolling agreements, offtake agreements and microgrid document suites.

You will collaborate with finance, corporate, real estate, planning and disputes colleagues to provide joined-up advice, manage workstreams, build client relationships, contribute to business development, and supervise and mentor trainees and junior associates.
