Apply in confidence →Join a well-established international construction practice in Abu Dhabi as an associate within the International Projects, Energy & Infrastructure team. The role focuses on non-contentious construction and infrastructure work, advising on UAE and English law across EPC, FIDIC-based and bespoke contracts for major projects.
The successful candidate will support a significant institutional client in the oil & gas sector, working closely with client in-house legal and project teams to deliver pragmatic, time-sensitive commercial solutions. The role includes drafting and negotiating contract documentation, advising on risk and contract interpretation, and contributing to thought leadership and business development activity in the Abu Dhabi market.
- Qualified lawyer with 3–5 years' PQE (or equivalent post-qualification experience)
- Law degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent)
- Private practice experience on the life cycle of major construction and infrastructure projects; experience in the Middle East advantageous
- Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts (including FIDIC/EPC and bespoke forms) and associated project documentation
- Experience advising under UAE and English law desirable
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and commercial advisory skills; strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters under time pressure and to work collaboratively with client project teams
- Fluent English and demonstrable business development aptitude
