Associate — Liability Management

Leading global law firm team seeks a mid-level associate to join its Liability Management practice. The group advises public and private companies, sponsors, creditor groups, hedge funds, direct lenders and distressed investors on liability-management, distressed and exchange transactions across the capital structure.

The role involves detailed structural analysis of corporate capital structures, developing bespoke liability-management solutions, and working closely with senior lawyers across Banking, Capital Markets, Restructuring, M&A, Tax and Litigation. The position offers exposure to complex, market-moving matters and early responsibility in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Minimum of 4 years' relevant post-qualification experience in liability management, distressed-debt or related capital-structure work
• Comfort working across debt, equity and hybrid instruments in stressed or distressed contexts
• Experience drafting, analyzing and negotiating transaction documents (credit agreements, indentures, intercreditor arrangements and related support documents)
• Demonstrated ability to perform detailed capital-structure analysis and to supervise/support junior associates
