An established UK real estate team is seeking an associate to join its Leeds office on a permanent basis. The group advises across the full property lifecycle, with work spanning acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant matters, asset management, development, planning, construction and related dispute work.

The role involves acting on leasehold and freehold transactions, asset-management matters (licences, wayleaves, lease renewals and exits), property aspects of corporate transactions, title reports/certificates and due diligence for lending. There will be opportunities to work on portfolio sales, occupier advisory including office moves, and cross-discipline matters with planning and construction specialists.

  • 2–4 years' post-qualification experience in real estate law
  • Experience in commercial landlord & tenant and transactional work (acquisitions/disposals)
  • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills; high attention to detail
  • Commercial mindset and proactive, client-focused approach
  • Comfortable taking responsibility for own matters and dealing directly with clients
  • Interest in business development and ability to work collaboratively in teams
  • Experience advising occupiers on office moves preferred; comfortable using legal technology
