Join a busy General Insurance team in Melbourne advising insurers on coverage disputes, property damage and subrogated recoveries, including mass tort and class action matters. The role offers carriage of your own files with appropriate supervision and exposure to technically complex and high-value litigation.

The team acts for domestic and international insurers and government schemes on indemnity, coverage and liability defence work. Day-to-day duties include policy analysis, evidence review, witness preparation, drafting court documents and client advice, briefs for counsel and attending mediations and hearings.

The role supports hybrid working and development programs, with a focus on career progression, wellbeing and an inclusive culture.

3+ years post-admission experience in insurance law (PQE)
Experience providing indemnity and coverage advice to insurers
Background in large-loss property damage recovery, subrogation or general liability litigation
Proven ability to run litigation end-to-end, strong drafting and attention to detail, and a collaborative team approach
