National capital markets team seeks an associate with experience on public securities offerings and related corporate and governance matters. The role involves working on complex Securities Act transactions for issuers and underwriters, and advising public companies on Exchange Act obligations.

You'll work on cross-office, industry-focused transactions alongside senior deal teams covering Energy, Financial Services, Real Estate Investment & Finance, and Retail & Consumer Products. This position is open to candidates based in the firm's Washington, DC or Richmond offices.

Candidates should be licensed in the jurisdiction to which they are applying (or be able to obtain licensure within one year of joining). The team values strong academics, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a collaborative approach.

3–5 years post-qualification experience in capital markets and public securities offerings
Experience advising issuers and/or underwriters on Securities Act and Exchange Act matters
Strong academic record and excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively on multi-office, industry-focused transactions
Licensed in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction preferred and required within one year of hire
