Clinical Negligence Solicitor

Our Healthcare team is seeking a motivated Solicitor or NQ Solicitor with expertise in clinical negligence to join our growing practice. This role focuses on defending claims on behalf of private insurers, offering a hybrid working pattern with flexibility on office attendance.

You will manage a varied caseload of high-value defendant clinical negligence matters from inception to resolution, providing high-quality legal advice and representation throughout.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims, ensuring effective progression and resolution.
• Provide expert legal advice, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating case documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
• Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and expert witnesses to gather evidence.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations as required.
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation, ensuring compliance with client care standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Healthcare team to deliver excellent service.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and support client care matters.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• 1–3 years' PQE in defendant clinical negligence.
• NQ solicitors must have specialist clinical negligence experience gained during their training contract or prior roles.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience handling complex clinical negligence cases.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with legal research tools and software.
• A high level of professionalism and integrity.
