A large law firm is seeking a senior-level Compliance Attorney to join its Risk Management Department in its Nashville office. This role provides critical support on ethical and regulatory matters to the firm's Office of the General Counsel, Business Intake Committee, attorneys, and Information Security Team.

The Compliance Attorney will serve as a subject matter expert on conflicts of interest, ethics, and anti-money laundering, while also playing a key role in the onboarding of new clients, matters, and lateral hires. The position involves drafting and negotiating engagement terms with external clients and vendors, and guiding the Conflict and New Business department in applying firm policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and drafting engagement terms and waiver letters, assisting partners in negotiations, overseeing firmwide contracts and IT master services agreements, and ensuring compliance with contract terms. The successful candidate will also handle special projects assigned by the Office of General Counsel and Risk Management team.

Juris Doctorate and Bachelor's degree, with an active law license in good standing in at least one state
Five to seven years of experience in a law firm or in-house corporate role
Strong understanding of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct and relevant jurisdiction-specific ethics rules
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
Ability to provide clear, concise information under strict deadlines
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with a customer-service-focused mindset
Appreciation for confidentiality and ability to instill similar obligations in others
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
