Apply in confidence →Senior conflicts attorney role supporting a high-volume, firm‑wide lateral intake and risk management function. You will manage the conflicts clearance process from submission through onboarding, draft waivers and screening memos, and advise attorneys and recruiting on ethical issues and firm policies.
Day-to-day work includes detailed party and ownership research, implementing and monitoring ethical screens, coordinating with partners and candidates to resolve issues, and maintaining knowledge of professional conduct rules across jurisdictions. The role requires discretion, strong legal research skills, and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
- J.D. and active admission to the New York bar (or admission to jurisdiction where role is located)
- Approximately 2 years’ experience in a large law firm conflicts group or similar practice
- Knowledge of rules of professional conduct and conflicts processes; experience drafting waivers, notices and screening memos
- Strong corporate research skills (ownership, SEC filings), database and internet research proficiency
- Excellent judgment, written and verbal communication, confidentiality, and ability to manage competing priorities
