This role manages a caseload of construction defect matters from intake through resolution, including complex multi-party residential and commercial defect actions.

The position also involves prosecuting and defending construction delay, disruption, and acceleration claims on behalf of owners, developers, general contractors, and subcontractors. The attorney will collaborate with engineering, architectural, and forensic experts on defect claims spanning structural, mechanical, electrical, waterproofing, and building envelope issues, and will analyze CPM schedules with scheduling experts to evaluate delay impacts and damages.

Additional responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs; managing written discovery; taking and defending depositions; appearing in mediations, arbitrations, and trials; and mentoring junior associates and legal staff. Business development and client relationship activities are also part of the role.

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with strong communication and client-relations abilities
  • Team player with a collaborative approach and ability to manage competing deadlines
