An international law firm is seeking a Corporate and M&A Associate to join its Milan team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a hands-on role covering the full range of commercial, corporate and M&A work, with the successful candidate acting as a key member of the team from day one.

The position involves drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, share and asset purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements and related transaction documents. You will work on multi-national corporate transactions, advising corporate, family office and individual clients on disposals, acquisitions and investments, as well as day-to-day corporate and commercial matters. The role also includes supporting due diligence activities and helping to lead the delivery of M&A and commercial transactions.

You will work closely alongside colleagues across the firm's overseas offices, so a collaborative approach and comfort operating across teams and time zones are essential.

Newly qualified / up to 1 year PQE as an Italian-qualified lawyer ("avvocato")
Prior training and experience within a Corporate department
English proficiency at C1 level or equivalent
Excellent academics (minimum 102/110)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Italian and English
Ability to draft standard commercial agreements and M&A documentation in both English and Italian
Academic or professional experience abroad is an asset
Enthusiastic, engaged attitude with strong people skills and a clear communication style
Strong teamwork orientation; comfortable working with colleagues in overseas offices
Proficient IT skills (e.g. Word and Excel)
