Corporate M&A Solicitor / Senior Associate — Sydney

We are seeking a Solicitor or Senior Associate to join a market-leading, Band 1 Corporate M&A practice in Sydney. The team advises corporate and private equity clients across multiple jurisdictions on their most significant, complex and innovative transactions, consistently ranking at the top of independent industry benchmarks.

The role offers exposure to high-profile public and private M&A deals, including schemes of arrangement, takeovers and cross-border transactions. You will work closely with leading M&A partners and colleagues across an international network, contributing to integrated client service across offices and practice groups.

You will play a key role on transactions—drafting and negotiating core documents, advising on legal risk, and project-managing deals to meet deadlines. The position also involves building external client relationships, supporting business development, and mentoring junior solicitors.

• Admission to practice as a lawyer in Australia, New Zealand or England.
• At least 3 years' experience as a solicitor working on M&A transactions.
• Strong academic record with excellent technical, drafting and commercial skills.
• Ability to manage complex legal matters within tight timeframes, both collaboratively and autonomously.
• Interest in supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team culture.
• Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies and a drive to progress within a market-leading practice.
