A large Manchester-based costs team is seeking Costs Lawyers, Costs Draftspersons and Solicitors at all levels to handle a broad and varied caseload. The work spans both paying and receiving party costs, along with budgeting, arising largely from personal injury litigation but extending across other areas of practice.

Due to sustained volumes, there is genuine scope to shape the role around your experience and interests, with the option to focus on particular lines of work over time. The team advises insurers, their policyholders and commercial clients on a wide range of claims and litigation.

2+ years' experience in a costs environment
Experience running own costs cases on behalf of the paying party
Experience of costs budgeting and assessing fast track, intermediate track and multi-track costs
Experience of negotiating settlements and handling related costs proceedings
Bill drafting skills desirable but not essential
Some advocacy experience welcomed but not essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
Confident, team-oriented and flexible approach
