Counsel, Settlement & Mass Torts

Experienced counsel role on a multi-office settlement team focused on complex product liability, toxic tort and mass tort matters. The attorney will lead settlement negotiations and manage end-to-end implementation of large-scale claims programs across multiple offices.

Responsibilities include developing settlement structures and eligibility criteria, negotiating and drafting settlement documentation, overseeing claims administration and data-analysis, resolving lien and claimant disputes, and ensuring compliance with reporting and governance obligations.

This is a hands-on position that requires coordinating cross-functional teams (attorneys, paralegals, and vendor partners), supervising quality assurance and workflow, and acting as the primary legal and operations lead on settlement programs.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership or eligibility to waive in
• Minimum 8 years of substantive legal experience with a focus on mass torts/product liability; at least 3 years of litigation practice at a law firm
• Demonstrated claims resolution experience, preferably involving pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or consumer products
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating settlement documents and familiarity with settlement governance and lien resolution
• Experience managing teams and multiple workstreams; strong project management, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
• Familiarity with matter management and claims administration platforms and comfort with data analysis and AI-enabled claim-review tools preferred
