Counsel — Settlement Team (Litigation)

Experienced counsel role on a nationwide settlement team handling complex product liability, mass tort and toxic tort matters. The attorney will lead and manage settlement negotiations and take primary responsibility for implementation and claims administration from negotiation through program closure.

Responsibilities include developing settlement structures and eligibility criteria, negotiating and drafting settlement documents, overseeing claims administration and quality assurance, resolving claimant disputes and appeals, and managing teams of paralegals and attorneys. The role requires substantial interaction with plaintiffs’ counsel and coordination of reporting, compliance, lien resolution, and fund governance.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership or eligibility to waive in
• Minimum of 8 years of substantive legal experience with a focus on mass torts/product liability; at least 3 years of litigation practice at a law firm
• Demonstrated experience negotiating and implementing large-scale settlements and claims resolution (pharmaceuticals, medical devices or consumer products preferred)
• Strong contract-drafting skills, familiarity with claims administration platforms and matter-management systems, and experience with data-driven claims analysis
• Proven project and people management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple teams and work streams
