Counsel — Settlement Team (Litigation)

Senior counsel role supporting a national settlement and claims-resolution practice. The attorney will lead and manage complex product liability, mass tort and toxic tort settlement programs from negotiation through claims administration and program closeout.

Responsibilities include structuring settlements, negotiating and drafting settlement documentation, overseeing claims administration operations, resolving claimant disputes and appeals, and directing teams that review and categorize incoming claims. The role requires hands‑on data review, tracking of claim trends, and ensuring compliance with reporting and settlement fund governance.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing, or eligibility to waive in.
• Minimum 8 years of substantive legal experience with a focus on mass torts/product liability; includes at least three years of law‑firm litigation experience.
• Demonstrated claims resolution experience (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer products preferred).
• Experience negotiating and drafting settlement agreements and familiarity with settlement allocation, lien resolution, and settlement governance.
• Proven ability to manage teams and multiple workstreams; strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Familiarity with matter/claims management systems and AI-enabled claim review platforms preferred.
