Counsel — Settlement Team (Product Liability & Mass Torts)

National law firm seeks a Counsel to join a settlement and claims-resolution team supporting complex product liability, toxic tort and mass-tort matters. The role will lead settlement negotiations and manage end-to-end implementation of multi-claimant resolution programs.

The successful candidate will work with firm leadership and cross-functional teams to design settlement structures and eligibility criteria, negotiate and draft settlement documents, oversee claims administration, and manage reporting, lien resolution, and governance obligations. The position operates across the firm’s U.S. offices.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing, or eligibility to waive into the relevant state bar.
• Minimum of 8 years of substantive legal experience, with a focus on mass torts/product liability; includes at least three years of litigation practice at a law firm.
• Proven claims-resolution experience on large-scale settlements (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer products preferred).
• Experience negotiating and drafting settlement agreements, and familiarity with claims administration, allocation methodologies, lien resolution, and settlement governance.
• Strong project management, data-analysis, and stakeholder-communication skills; experience with matter management and claims administration platforms preferred.
