Counsel, Settlement Team — Product Liability & Mass Torts

Seeking an experienced Counsel to join a national settlement and mass torts practice. This role will lead and manage settlement implementation and claims administration for large-scale product liability, toxic tort and consumer mass-tort resolutions across the firm’s U.S. offices.

The attorney will oversee settlement negotiations and documentation, develop eligibility and allocation frameworks, supervise multidisciplinary teams reviewing claims, and ensure governance, reporting and compliance for settlement funds and programs.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented project leads with substantial experience managing high-volume claims processes, data-driven claims analysis, lien resolution and vendor/administrator oversight.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active and in-good-standing bar admission, or eligibility to waive in
• Minimum 8 years of substantive legal experience, with significant focus on mass torts/product liability; at least 3 years of litigation experience at a law firm
• Experience negotiating and implementing large-scale settlements, drafting settlement documents, and resolving claimant disputes/appeals
• Hands-on claims resolution and claims-administration experience (pharmaceutical, medical device or consumer product matters preferred)
• Experience supervising teams (attorneys, paralegals) and managing workflow, QA, and reporting for claims programs
• Familiarity with matter-management and claims-administration platforms and comfort with data analysis and AI-enabled review tools
• Strong project management, communication and stakeholder-management skills
