A leading international law firm is seeking a junior debt finance attorney to join its Finance & Banking practice in Washington, DC. The role involves representing lenders, borrowers, and private equity sponsors in debt financing transactions across a range of secured lending and acquisition finance matters.

The ideal candidate will have experience closing transactions and drafting documents and issues lists. Familiarity with secured lending, Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, acquisition financing, and debt securities offerings is preferred. Candidates should have a JD from a nationally recognized law school with high academic achievement, prior training at a large law firm, and the ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.

1–3 years of experience representing lenders, borrowers, and/or private equity sponsors in debt financing transactions
Working knowledge of secured lending transactions
Experience closing transactions
Familiarity with drafting documents and issues lists
Preferred: knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, acquisition financing, debt securities offerings, and general corporate law
JD or equivalent from a nationally recognized law school with demonstrated high academic achievement
Training and development experience at a large law firm
Ability to work on multiple diverse projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
