Employment Associate (3+ PQE) - London

Join a highly regarded employment team known for handling complex, high-profile and high-stakes matters for both employers and senior executives. The group is regularly instructed on cases raising important legal questions, from diversity and gender pay to employment status, the gig economy, and the interplay between data, transparency and privacy, and has a strong litigation record in the Employment Appeal Tribunal, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

The role covers the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment law, including discrimination, restrictive covenants, HR advisory, TUPE, unfair dismissal, redundancies, settlement agreements, data theft, misappropriation of confidential information, employment aspects of corporate transactions and other contractual issues. You will also have the opportunity to advise on litigious matters in the Employment Tribunal, High Court and appellate courts.

Clients span a range of sectors, including financial services, fashion, luxury goods, retail, recruitment, media, sport and life sciences, with significant work for LLPs, private equity and venture capital firms. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and associates across the team, maintain high levels of client contact, and be encouraged to undertake business development activities to build their own practice and profile.

• 3+ years PQE in employment law from a reputable practice
• Strong academic record
• Solid transactional, advisory and litigation experience desirable
• Experience representing both corporates and individuals desirable but not essential
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and drafting skills
• Ability to manage own workload in a client-facing role
• Confident and personable, able to build relationships at all levels
• Resilient, adaptable and proactive, with a collaborative approach
• Comfortable using knowledge, AI and other technology to enhance client service and develop business opportunities
