Incentives/Employment Associate (London)

A global law firm seeks an associate to join its London-based People and Reward department, focusing on incentives work within the broader employment, pensions, and incentives practice. The team advises on contentious and non-contentious matters for a diverse client base including listed companies, regulated financial institutions, multinationals, private equity houses, and portfolio companies.

The role centers on the design, implementation, and operation of share schemes, executive remuneration, and other incentive arrangements, alongside related tax, corporate governance, securities law, and regulatory considerations. You will also have the opportunity to engage with wider employment work, including executive employment matters.

Working within a collaborative global team, you will handle strategic and reputationally significant matters, frequently liaising with colleagues across corporate, tax, regulatory, and disputes practices. The position offers exposure to high-quality incentives work and the chance to contribute to client training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Qualified lawyer with 2–4 years’ PQE in incentives, executive compensation, or share plans.
• Strong technical grounding in tax, corporate, securities, and employment law as it relates to incentive arrangements.
• Experience advising on incentive aspects of M&A, restructurings, or capital markets transactions.
• Prior experience within a top-tier incentives practice at a global firm.
• Interest and experience in business development and thought leadership.
• Strong team ethos and willingness to share knowledge.
