A large, highly regarded employment practice is seeking an Associate Director to join its London team. The group is among the largest employment teams in the UK and advises leading national and global corporates on both contentious and non-contentious employment law, with substantial scope for cross-border and international work.

The practice offers a full service to clients across HR support, employee disputes, business immigration, TUPE and transactional advice, and manages projects internationally. Recent focus areas include work for investment banks and financial services clients, international mandates in the technology, media and telecommunications sector, restrictive covenants and reputational risk management. Cross-office and international collaboration is a core feature of the role.

The London team works closely with colleagues in other UK offices and draws on lawyers in a number of other jurisdictions to serve truly international clients. The firm emphasises a collegiate, supportive culture, offers flexible working on request, and provides a structured career development programme with clear progression expectations, early responsibility, tailored training and rewards based on contribution and potential.

  • Significant experience in contentious and non-contentious employment law
  • Demonstrated experience advising clients in the technology, media and/or telecommunications sectors and/or financial services
  • Evidence of handling a range of complex matters, ideally with an international dimension
  • Strong technical and client-facing skills, with an interest in developing junior colleagues
  • Appointment expected at Associate Director level, though candidates with more or less experience will be considered
