Seeking an employment associate to join a national law firm's California offices (San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, or San Diego) to handle litigation and counseling matters across the full range of workplace issues.

The role focuses on litigation management, legal research and drafting for both class/collective actions and single-plaintiff matters (including wage & hour, meal/rest period, misclassification, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination and related claims). The position also involves drafting and negotiating employment and severance agreements, advising on reductions in force, restrictive covenants, compensation and leave practices, and providing day-to-day counsel to employers.

This is a hybrid role with regular in-office presence and some remote flexibility. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced practice that includes courtroom and agency work when required.

  • Juris Doctor and active admission to practice in California
  • Approximately 2 years' post-qualification experience in labor & employment law, including litigation and advisory work
  • Experience defending class/collective actions and PAGA claims; trial and agency experience preferred
  • Strong legal research, drafting, analytical and communication skills; ability to manage caseloads and work collaboratively
