Employment Counseling Associate (3-6 yrs) — Los Angeles

Mid-level associate opportunity in a busy Labor & Employment counseling practice based in Los Angeles. The role focuses on advising employers — including California, national, and multinational organizations — on workplace compliance and day-to-day employment matters.

Work will include counseling on wage-and-hour compliance, leaves and accommodations, employee relations, workforce reductions, discipline and terminations, and drafting and implementing employee handbooks and workplace policies. The team values practical, business-focused advice and collaboration with HR and in-house teams.

Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar and should be prepared to handle workplace audits, internal investigations, management training, and compliance risk assessments.

• 3–6 years of employment counseling experience, preferably advising California and national employers
• Active membership in the State Bar of California (in good standing)
• Experience with wage & hour compliance, leaves/accommodations, employee relations, restructurings, and terminations
• Substantial experience drafting and implementing employee handbooks, policies, and employment-related agreements
• Experience conducting workplace audits and internal investigations preferred; strong judgment and client-service skills required
