Environmental Litigation Associate

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Environmental Litigation Associate to join our market-leading environmental practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes matters across the spectrum of environmental law, with a collaborative and team-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle environmental and toxic tort litigation, including cases under CERCLA, RCRA, and California's Prop 65.
• Defend clients in agency enforcement actions and provide regulatory compliance counseling.
• Conduct environmental due diligence for corporate transactions.
• Draft briefs, correspondence, and written discovery responses; prepare and support depositions and oral arguments.
• Manage discovery and case strategy effectively.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in environmental and toxic tort litigation.
• Significant experience with agency enforcement defense and environmental diligence.
• Knowledge of federal and state environmental statutes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong case management abilities, and a team-oriented attitude.
• Admission to the state bar in the relevant jurisdiction, or eligibility to waive in.
