The firm's Family Law practice is consistently recognized as a market leader, advising on all areas of family law with a particular focus on financial issues arising from relationship formation and breakdown. The work involves negotiating and settling complex financial cases, frequently with cross-border elements and intricate tax or trust considerations. The team also handles disputes over children, including custody and relocation issues, and maintains a strong prenuptial and marital agreements practice.
As an Associate, you will handle a diverse caseload encompassing both contentious and non-contentious matters. You will manage divorce cases involving complex financial disputes, draft and negotiate marital agreements, represent clients in custody matters, and provide comprehensive advice across the full spectrum of family law. - Juris Doctor (J.D.) with strong academic credentials.
- Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
- 3–7 years of experience practicing within a law firm's family law group.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a busy practice efficiently, including time recording, proactive deadline management, and taking ownership of assigned projects.
- Proven interest in contributing to the firm's success through mentoring junior team members and refining firm processes.
- Excellent client relationship skills and the ability to inspire confidence in both clients and referral sources.
- A practical, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
