A well-established international law firm is seeking a Financial Markets associate for its Washington office. The role focuses on enforcement and regulatory matters involving commodities, banking and securities laws, and matters touching fintech and financial institutions.

Responsibilities include legal research and analysis, preparing filings and submissions in enforcement, application, or regulatory matters before federal regulators (e.g., CFTC, SEC) and state/federal banking agencies, assisting with fact-gathering, and working closely within deal and regulatory teams. The team values collaborative work, strong academic credentials, and demonstrated regulatory experience.

Compensation for this role is provided within the firm's stated range and will be commensurate with experience.

3–6 years of post-qualification experience in law firm, government or in-house roles handling financial institutions, financial markets, or fintech matters
Experience with enforcement and regulatory frameworks under commodities, banking, or securities laws
Practical experience preparing filings or submissions to regulators (e.g., CFTC, SEC, federal/state banking regulators)
Strong legal research and writing skills; ability to manage responsibilities and assist with fact development
Team-oriented, with strong academic credentials
