A highly regarded law firm
Apply in confidence →A highly regarded health, care and public law team is seeking an Advocate to handle a predominantly inquest-based caseload centred on advocacy in the Coroner's Court. The role also involves associated advisory work relating to professional and care-quality regulation.
The team advises health and social care organisations across the public and independent sectors, including NHS bodies, private providers and charities, on regulatory and advisory matters. It is widely recognised for the depth of its sector knowledge and the quality of its service, and forms part of a broader practice known as a leading adviser to the UK health and social care sector.
This is an opportunity to join a successful, expanding team in a fast-developing sector, within a supportive and collaborative environment that offers flexibility, career growth and exposure to leading clients.
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a demonstrable interest in, or prior experience of, this or a related practice area.
- Enthusiasm for inquest advocacy and a willingness to develop broader skills in areas such as health and social care regulation, mental health law, serious medical treatment and information governance.
- Advocacy experience is ideal.
- Excellent relationship and client-handling skills, with the confidence to deal professionally with clients on day-to-day matters.
- Highly motivated, team-oriented and committed to delivering excellent client service.
- Commercially minded, able to approach legal issues with a practical rather than purely academic perspective.
