A full-service AmLaw 100 firm is seeking an attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice in the Orange County, CA area. The role focuses on analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions for first-party property and general liability matters.

The practice is a recognized leader in insurance coverage and claims, handling contract interpretation and representing insurers in complex coverage disputes. Work includes monitoring, mediation, arbitration, and declaratory relief litigation in state and federal courts nationwide. Clients include primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, third-party administrators, managing general agents, brokers and agents, and independent adjustment companies.

Candidates with substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in insurance law are encouraged to apply, even if their background is in another litigation arena. At least 1–7 years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions on first-party property and general liability matters
Litigation experience, including taking depositions, attending court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions
Strong research and writing skills
Admission to the California Bar required
Insurance law experience preferred; strong litigation backgrounds in other areas considered
