Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

Our client, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice in Lafayette, LA. The ideal candidate will have at least two to seven years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions regarding first-party property and general liability matters. The role involves litigation, including taking depositions, attending court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions. Strong research and writing skills are required, and admission to the Louisiana Bar is required.

The firm is a recognized leader in insurance coverage and claims, focusing on interpreting contracts and representing insurers in complex coverage claims, including monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation in state and federal courts nationwide. The practice serves primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, third-party administrators, managing general agents, insurance brokers and agents, and independent adjustment companies.

While some experience in insurance law is preferred, the firm is also interested in developing talented attorneys with excellent skills in any litigation arena.
