Our client, an international law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate or Senior Counsel to join its insurance coverage litigation practice in Seattle. The role involves advising insurers on first-party and third-party coverage matters and defending against bad faith claims in Washington and other U.S. jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities include:

Analyzing policy rights and obligations, drafting coverage opinions, and providing strategic advice.
Conducting legal research and drafting memoranda.
Preparing pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs in coverage litigation.
Engaging with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties in meet-and-confers.
Attending depositions, hearings, and mediations.
Managing matters independently, with strong attention to deadlines and client communication.

The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in Washington State and have experience in insurance coverage or commercial litigation with an interest in coverage work. Excellent research, writing, and communication skills are required, along with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to handle sensitive, time-sensitive matters.
