Apply in confidence →Our client, a nationally recognized law firm with a long-standing real estate finance practice, seeks an associate with 2–5 years of experience to join its Real Estate Finance group. The role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions across the country in a collegial, mentor-driven environment.
- Handle a wide range of debt, debt-like, and equity transactions secured by or invested in real estate projects, with particular emphasis on construction financing and multi-tiered capital structures.
- Gain exposure to structured real estate finance, preferred equity investments, and distressed commercial real estate matters (transactional).
- Work primarily on lender/capital provider-side matters, with occasional borrower-side work; a blend of both is acceptable.
- Collaborate directly with partners and maintain direct client contact in a supportive, entrepreneurial setting.
Ideal candidates will have excellent academic credentials, strong writing and analytical skills, and an active bar license in the jurisdiction for which they wish to be considered. - 2–5 years of experience in real estate finance or a closely related practice.
- Substantial experience with construction financing and multi-tiered capital transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Active bar license in the state where you will be based.
